Bad News Time: Guided by Voices Cancels Houston Date

Dammit, dammit, dammit. Just heard the news tonight that Guided by Voices, that awesomely shambolic psych/pop/whatever band from Dayton, OH, who are currently playing with their Bee Thousand-era “classic” lineup, have canceled their show here in town, September 24th at Warehouse Live.

I’d hoped the rumor wasn’t true, honestly, because I’ve been seriously looking forward to finally, finally seeing GBV live, but I’ve verified it on the {Pegstar} site and the band’s own Webpage. No idea why they’ve dropped the show — the only other date that’s canceled, apparently, is 9/27 in Columbia, MO — but yes, Houston gets passed over yet again, it seems.

Fuck. First M83, now this? What the hell, y’all? Did they just not sell enough advance tickets? Or do we have mange or something? Whatever it is, it sucks.
