In a random moment the other day, it occurred to yours truly that this happy little e-zine is linked to by all sorts of folks out there in the wide world of the Internet, and that's pretty incredible (I mean,
Lonely Planet links to us from their Houston "Destinations" pages, and that's freakin' awesome...). So we decided it's time to give some love back to those people who've linked to us.
No, we're not diving headlong into the life-sucking drain that is MySpace, but we are including a new little list down there on the left side of the homepage (below the shameless plea for donations) called Our Friends. If you've linked to us, hey, let us know, and we'll try to get you in the list. Not everybody'll show up at one time (it rotates about 30 links at random), but it's at least a little bit of exposure as a "thanks!" from us for spreading the SCR virus far and wide...

The Start of Summer [6/06/2006 01:04:00 AM]:
In time for that steady climb the mercury does, we've got some new stuff up, including reviews of The Subways, Placebo, Radio Pioneer, Blackloud, My Morning Jacket, & more, as well as a darn good live review of H-town's Sharks and Sailors. Oh, and then there's our first-ever "Spring Cleaning" blast, with a flood of short-and-brutal reviews of discs that have languished on your faithful editor's desk for far too long. It ain't all pretty, but hey...
