The Rebecca West Hits Cactus in, Um, About 30 Minutes

Short-notice show time, y’all. At 1PM this afternoon — that is, in about a half-hour — Cactus Music will play host to utterly awesome “chamber-folk” band {The Rebecca West}, about whom I can literally not say enough good things. The band’s first released song, “Lost and Found,” has been stuck in my head for a few months now, and it’s one of a small, small handful of songs I seem to be able to listen to over & over again and not get tired of it.

We’ve posted the video for the song previously on this here blog, but you can also snag your very own copy of the song for the price of your email address:

The Rebecca West reportedly have a brand-new EP on the way, but I don’t think it’ll be for sale just yet, sadly. But hey, the trio — Cameron Dezen, Matt Dammon, & Alexis Dezen — don’t play live very often, unfortunately, so this is a rare, rare chance to see one of the best, most beautifully affecting bands going in this city right now. Don’t miss out.

The EP is available at Cactus, and digitally on iTunes and Amazon.com. FYI

    Sweet! I hadn’t realized they’d already released it…
