Benjamin Wesley Releases New Album, This Weekend & Next
I mentioned a while back that local do-everything musician/one-man-band Benjamin Wesley had a new album coming out, and yep, that happy day is upon us. Er, days, really, to be completely accurate.
He’s celebrating the release of his new full-length, Think/Thoughts, starting today (Saturday, March 31st) at 5PM up at Cactus Music. Then he’ll be playing tomorrow, Sunday, April 1st, at Big Star Bar, where he’s opening for Jandek, of all things.
And last but not least, he’ll be playing his “real” release show next Saturday, April 6th, up at Fitzgerald’s; he’s got the intriguing-sounding Khruangbin and excellent, excellent hip-hop crew The Niceguys opening for him, along with Dave Wrangler as the DJ.
Keep an eye out for a review of Think/Thoughts soon — I’ve been listening to it quite a bit this past week, and it’s an impressive piece of work.

Thanks for the mentions, Space City Rock!
One note: Benjamin is performing as part of Jandek. Not opening.
Hope you can make it out!
