The Houston Sound Starts Up Again, This Friday

Another little tidbit of good news for the week; I’d been afraid that maybe The Houston Sound series of shows had faded away when the last round finished (experimental stuff aside, regular concert series tend to die off in this town, so it’s a fair guess).

Thankfully, it turns out that’s not the case — in fact, the THS folks are currently gearing up for their official Spring Concert Series at Market Square Park, starting this coming Friday, March 18th, with reggae icons {D.R.U.M.}.

Those guys are pretty damn awesome, and things don’t slide much downhill from there. Austin’s Patrice Pike plays Market Square March 25th, followed by MoTel Aviv & one of my personal favorites, {Benjamin Wesley} on April 8th. Sauce plays April 22nd, and {Beetle} closes things out for the season May 6th.

As always, all the shows are free; sounds like it should be a lot of fun.
