Summerfest 2011 Lineup, Announced

Couldn’t make it out to the official “unveiling” night for this year’s Free Press Summerfest show, sadly, due to, well, it being Valentine’s Day & all. But the {Free Press Houston} folks were kind enough to send out an official-like press release listing out the lineup so far, and holy fuck is it cool.

I’m psyched as hell about Weezer (Weezer!), for one, but also super-excited about the prospect of seeing Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings again — those folks are utterly badass. And hey, The Black Angels, MF Doom, & Kylesa are nothing to sneeze at, either. Here goes:

Of course, as with Summerfests past, these aren’t necessarily the biggest names of the bunch Omar & his merry band of FPHers are keeping quiet on some of the big-deal headliners, so stay tuned for more updates, and mark your calendars for June 4th & 5th — this promises to be pretty damn amazing.
