Block Party Coming Up Quick (+ Schedule Posted) [11/12/2009 09:51:00 PM]:
Obviously, it's subject to serious revision -- I suspect it's already been revised, actually, since I'm pretty sure Defend the Ghetto are dead & buried and Golden Cities can't play the show -- but the kind folks at Free Press Houston have released the official schedule for both days of this weekend's Westheimer Block Party, so I'll post 'em up here:

For those into the more interactive-type stuff, I've put all the bands & times into a bunch of Google Calendars, too, so you can check 'em out graphically or on a phone:

This coming Saturday & Sunday (Nov. 14th & 15th) are going to be pretty damn impressive, btw; as you can see from the above, we're talking a ton of bands (something like 250 of 'em), mostly good, some great, and some just plain strange. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much of it I'll be able to catch myself this weekend, but here're my personal picks if I can get on out...

Since you're not me, though, I'll be blunt: go. C'mon, it's free (well, all but the Sat. night headliners), it features a shitload of awesome bands, and it's a guaranteed good time. Honest.
