Update: Golden Cities + Loney, Dear (2/10) + P.O.S. + Built By Snow (2/14) + More [2/08/2009 01:01:00 PM]:
Already posted about the review of the eponymous Golden Cities album, but I didn't want to skip over the other excellent reviews up this week, as well, esp. since some of 'em are coming to town in the next week or so.

Next up on the list, in fact, is Loney, Dear, who'll be here (at Rudyard's) on February 10th, with excellent, excellent local folk News on the March and Alkari. We've got a review of the new album right up here, courtesy of new SCR contributor Spencer, so you can be prepared when it happens.

After that, I was so dang blown away by the brand-new P.O.S. album, Never Better, that I felt compelled to cram it in here -- he's not coming to town on the current tour, sadly (prob'ly will with the Warped Tour, though), which is a damn shame, 'cause the album's freakin' great. Check the review here.

And last in terms of upcoming stuff, Austin's Built By Snow is playing Sat., February 14th, alongside The McKenzies, The Tontons, & The Mathletes. To get y'all ready for that, another new SCR writer, Suzanne, has taken it upon herself to review the band's latest -- the review's up here.

Here's the whole pile of new reviews:

Reviews: Golden Cities; Loney, Dear; P.O.S.; Built By Snow; Maps of Norway; Joni Davis; Crisis in Hollywood; The New Duncan Imperials.

More to come, as always...
