Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
2005 Lake Robbins Drive
(281) 363-3300
General Info: Now, this is what I think Hell must really be like. These days, all the “big” festivals and reformed ’70s rock bands play here, way the hell out of town in the frightening, intentionally confusing suburb that is the Woodlands. The Buzz (107.5 FM) holds its annual “Buzz Festival” here every year, and it’s a horrifying sight — I honestly saw warning signs posted that read “WARNING: Moshing activities may occur.” (No, really, I did.) This place is overpriced as hell, and damn few local bands ever get to play here. Some good shows, sure, but in general, I avoid it if I can.
